Yerrisery
Ingredients
Sweet Pumkin - 200 gms
Jeera - 1/2 teaspoon
Coconut(dessicated) - 100 gms
Urad dhall - 1 teaspoon
Red Chilli - 5
Thur Dhall - 1 cup
Coconut Oil - as required
kadi patta - 10 leaves
Salt - to taste.
Method:
- Cook the thur dhall well with pinch of turmeric and set aside.
- Boil the pumkin till done.(make sure it does'nt over cook).
- Grind 75gms of coconut,jeera,red chilli into find smooth paste.(Can u pumkin stock for your grinding)
- Now add the thur dhall & mix well,then add the ground paste and salt and mix every thing and allow the whole thing to stand on low flame for about 10 mins.
- Last step is seasoning.. season it with mustard seeds,urad dhall and lastly add the kadi patta.
- Finally in dry kadai,roast the left over coconut till it turns brown and add it to Yerissery.
- It goes will with rice and as side dish it can be taken with avakkai pickles or any raita.
- (Optional) before serving u can put one table spoon of coconut oil and that add flavour.
