Volan

Ingredients
1. Ash pumpkin ... 200 gms
2. Red pumpkin ... 200 gms
3. Red gram (karamani) ... 1 handful.
4. Salt ... to taste
5. Coconut oil ... 2 tsp
6. Coconut milk (extract) ... 3 tablespoonfuls
7. Green chillies ... 3 nos
8. Curry leaves ... a little.

 

Method:

  1. Cut the pumpkins into small square cubes.
  2. Soak red gram (karamani) for about 2 hours.
  3. Cook the vegetables and red gram in water.
  4. After it is nicely cooked, add 2 teaspoonfuls of coconut oil and 3 tablespoonfuls of coconut milk.
  5. Season with green chillies (cut lengthwise)
  6. Dress with curry leaves.
