Tomato Soup

Ingredients
Tomatoes-1/2kg(finely chopped)
Thuvar dhal-1 hand full (peaseur cooked with little water and mashed)
Onion-1
Garlic-15flakes(finely chopped)
Sombu-1 sp
Jeera powder-2 sp
Pepper- as per taste
Green chillies-3(finely chopped)
Water-450ml
Coriander leaves-3sp(finely chopped)
Salt-to taste

 

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a kadai, add sombu and fry till golden brown
  2. Add chopped onion along with green chilies and garlic
  3. Fry all the things till 5-7 minutes
  4. Add tomatoes and stir well till it becomes tender
  5. Add mashed dhal and stir for a while
  6. Now add water, salt, pepper powder and jeera powder.
  7. Allow it to boil
  8. Now garnish with coriander leaves.
