Somtam.

Ingredients
1 grated raw mango(should be very sour)-long strips
2 green chilies
4 cloves of garlic
2 tea spoons of sugar
2 tea spoons of roasted crushed peanuts
Pieces of 1 chopped tomato
2-3 Long Beans(optional)
1 tea spoon salt

 

Method:

  1. Make a fine paste of chillies and garlic.
  2. Mix paste, sugar, tomatoes(chopped), salt.
  3. When served mix raw mango(grated), peanuts and long beans.
  4. The flavour of garlic after Somtam is made should be strong. Normally Thai people here make this recipe with raw grated papaya instead of raw mango but sometimes they make it the way I have written it above with raw mango. In Papaya somtam you can add lemon juice for sourness. I hope you will enjoy this recipe.
