Tomato Soup

Ingredients
1. Big onions -- chopped ... 1/4 kilo
2. Tomatoes " ... 1/4 kilo
3. Green chillies ... 10 nos.
4. Coconut gratings from ...) 1 cup
which its milk is extracted .) 5. Toor dhal ... 100 gms
6. Moong dhal ... 100 gms
7. Lemon fruit ... 1 no.
8. Salt ... to taste
9. Oil ... to fry.

For Masala:
10. Cinnamon ... small piece
11. Clove ... 1 tsp
12. Elachi ... 1 tsp
13. Celary (sombu) ... 1 tsp
14. Pepper ... 1 tsp

 

Method:

  1. Soak toor dhal and moong dhal in plety of water, cook it, mash it and keep aside.
  2. Take 4 tsp oil in a kadai, heat it and add the masala items (no.8 to 12) and fry them. Then add the chopped onions, tomatoe, green chillies cut into length-wise and saute them well.
  3. Add 200 ml water to this, add the salt required and allow it to boil.
  4. Add the mashed dhals with its water and allowto boil once and take it off from thestove.
  5. Add the coconut milk, mix well.
  6. Last add the lime juice and mix well.
