Ribbon Pakoda

Ingredients
rice flour - 2 cups
besan - 1 cup
Asafodeita - big pinch
turmeric powder - 1/2 tbsp
chilli powder - 1 tbsp.
butter(un salted) - 100gms.

 

Method:

  1. Take big vessel first put the rice flour,besan,butter and mix it evenly and no lumps are formed.
  2. Take katori put the turmeric powder,chilli powder,asafodeita and salt and some water beat it well and set aside.
  3. Keep one glass of water.
  4. Now add the mixture of turmeric,chilli,asafodita and salt to the rice flour mixture,slowly add the water knead it into soft and thick dough.
  5. Heat up oil in kadai,fill up the "ural or kuzhal" with some amount of dough.Use mould with one 1 or 2 slots.
  6. Press the dough over hot oil and deep fry until light brown and crispy.
