Andhra Pesarattu
Ingredients
1. Grated coconut ... 1 cup
2. Grated Mango ... 1 cup
3. Green chillies ... 6
4. Oil ... to fry
5. Curry leaves ... 1 stalk
6. Mustard ... 1 tsp
7. Urad dhal ... 2 tsp
8. Asafoetida powder... 1 tsp
9. Salt ... to taste.
Method:
- 1. Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard.
- After it splatters, add urad dhal; and
- After urad dhal turns brown in colour
- Add the grated mango, and then green chillies (If the mango is very sour, you can extra two chillies) cut in lengthwise.
- After it is saute, add asafoetida powder and saute for some time.
- Add the grated coconut, curry leaves, and the required salt and saute for another 5 more minutes.
- Take it off from the stove and allow it to cool.
- Then grind it in a mixie. This will be a very good side dish for iddlies, dosa and can even be mixed with rice and taken as mango bath.
