Garlic Dhokla

Ingredients
3 cups raw rice (idli rice if possible)
1 cup urad daal
1/2cup curd or thick sour butter milk
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoon galic paste
2 teaspoon ginger chilli paste
pinch of turmeric (haldi)
1 teaspoon oil
salt
pinch of hing(asfoetida)
toppings:
black pepper powder or red chilli powder or mixture of powderd methi leaves(kasuri methi) + coriander leaves powder or simply use chopped coriander leaves

 

Method:

  1. soak rice & urad dal over night.
  2. grind it to coarse paste
  3. warm water & oil together.
  4. keep a steaming potwith water on high flame.
  5. add all the ingredients. over this add heated oil & water.
  6. stirr it properly.
  7. grease thali & keep thali into the steaming pot.
  8. pour the batter. garnish it with ur available topping.
  9. cover the lid & steam for 5-7 min till it is done.
  10. repeat for the remaing batter.
  11. serve hot with coconut chutney or coriander chutney or tomato chutney.
