HI THIS IS HEMA PANDYA. I HAVE CONTRIBUTED RECIPE "KHATTA DHOKLA". GARLIC DHOKLA IS MODIFICATION OF THIS RECIPE.

Garlic Dhokla
Ingredients
3 cups raw rice (idli rice if possible)
1 cup urad daal
1/2cup curd or thick sour butter milk
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoon galic paste
2 teaspoon ginger chilli paste
pinch of turmeric (haldi)
1 teaspoon oil
salt
pinch of hing(asfoetida)
toppings:
black pepper powder or red chilli powder or mixture of powderd methi leaves(kasuri methi) + coriander leaves powder or simply use chopped coriander leaves
Method:
- soak rice & urad dal over night.
- grind it to coarse paste
- warm water & oil together.
- keep a steaming potwith water on high flame.
- add all the ingredients. over this add heated oil & water.
- stirr it properly.
- grease thali & keep thali into the steaming pot.
- pour the batter. garnish it with ur available topping.
- cover the lid & steam for 5-7 min till it is done.
- repeat for the remaing batter.
- serve hot with coconut chutney or coriander chutney or tomato chutney.
