Chickpeas Sundal

Ingredients
chickpeas-1 1/2 cups
salt - 1tsp
urad dhall-1/2tsp
curry leaves - few
oil -1 tsp
grated coconut - 3tbsp
mustard -1/2 tsp
dry red chilli -2
asafodeita - pinch

 

Method:

  1. soak the chick peas over night to make the sundal next day.
  2. Pressure cook the chick peas for about 4 to 5 whistles.
  3. Decant the water and let it stand for few mins.
  4. Heat up oil in kadai and fry mustard seeds,urad dhall,asafodita,chilly and curry leaves.
  5. Add coconut and salt and remove from the heat.
  6. Stir to mix well. Now add the cooked peas and reheat.
  7. Stir for few mins till salt and coconut and are evely distributed.
