Buttermilk Cake

Ingredients
1 2/3rd cup plain flour(maida)
1/2 cup butter
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 cup buttermilk
1 1/2 cup caster sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/2 cup cocoa powder
2 eggs,seperated
1/2 tsp salt.

 

Method:

1. sift dry ingredients.
2. beat egg yolks,butter and sugar.
3. Add little buttermilk and fold in.
4. Add little dry mix and mix it in well.
5. continue this way alternatively adding buttermilk and dry mix.
6. Add well beaten egg whites and essence.
7. Bake at 180 degrees C for 35 minutes.
8. when cool top with icing of your choice or serve plain.
