Hi....I am Premlata Nambiar from Pune, India once again with a new recipe "Bread Upma" for all the readers of this site.. I hope few of you must have tried making the "Beetroot Pickle".

Bread Upma

Ingredients
Bread slices - 15 -20
Onions - 2 nos
Green Chillies - 5 - 6 nos
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Hing Powder - 1 tsp
Jeera - 1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Groundnut - 20 - 25 nuts
Sugar - 1/2 tsp
Salt - As per taste
Oil for frying
Corrainder leaves for garnishing

 

Method:

  1. Make bread crumbs (I usually get in done in the Mixer) and keep aside after mixing it with required salt.
  2. Cut onions, green chillies and keep aside.
  3. Add oil in Kadai, add mustard seeds,jeera seeds & groundnuts.. once the nuts are light brown in colour add onion and chillies and fry them well.
  4. Add turmeric,hing & sugar in the oil.
  5. Add the bread crumbs and mix it well for 3 - 4 minutes.
  6. Serve hot after sprinkling the cut corriander leaves with pickle / curd.
  7. * Please note you can use "Chapati's" to make this dish instead of "Bread". All other ingredients remain the same
