Aloo Palak

Ingredients
1/2 a bunch of paalak
2 medium sized russet potatoes
6-7 red chiliies
7-8 garlic cloves
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
2tbsp oil
salt

 

Method:

  1. Bake the potatoes nicely in the microwave. Cut into medium sized pieces and keep aside.
  2. Wash and chop paalak. Drain out all the excess water. Keep aside. Peel and cut garlic cloves into halves.
  3. Break the chillies into small pieces.
  4. Heat oil in a saucepan. Add mustard seeds. let crackle. Then add garlic. saute well till light brown. Then add chillies. saute well again (till chillies change color).
  5. Now add the potatoes and saute till they change color and are slightly crisp.
  6. Then add paalak and salt. Cook on open till paalak is done (about 10-15 mins). Make sure your stove is not on high. Do not burn any of the ingredients.
