Bengalis are food lovers and they can try any dish anywhere in the world.Bengalis are called Khadyo Rosik. Bengalis stayed at coastal region so they are fond of specially fish (River),boiled rice and also fond of Music. we have different types of songs by Rabindranath Tagore,Kabi Najrul,Bowl Geeti and classical songs. Bengalis are know for their culture,it may be art .I want to contribute some Non-Veg Bengali dishes which can be enjoyed by Bengalis and Non Bengalis all over world. I am basically Bengali and married but born in Orissa,stayed at Calcutta but now at present settled in Bangalore working for a Real estate. Tel Koi Mach

Ingredients
1teaspoon of Jeera for Grinding and One spoon to crackle in oil.
150gms Mustard oil for cooking.
I cup Coconut Milk for cooking.(Otherwise grind the coconut and take out the milk from it.
One teaspoon of Ginger paste and One teaspoon of chilli paste.( Even Green chilies will also do.)
Salt for marination and to taste.
Tumeric Powder for marination and colour.
Elaichi,Darchini,Long 3 nos each for grinding.

 

Method:

  1. Clean the fish and marinate with 1/2 tea spoon of Turmeric Powder and 1teaspoon of salt.
  2. Take 3 tablespoon of mustard oil in Non stick Kadai and shallowfry the fish .
  3. Heat the Kadai again with 3 table spoon mustard oil and put Jeera to crackle on it.
  4. Put the ginger and chilly paste(or green chillies 5-6nos slitted nicely) 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric,one teaspoon salt.
  5. Fry it and put the Coconut milk in it, which is easily available in market .
  6. when it starts boiling put the fishes in it and slow the flame.
  7. After it get boiled pls put the Garam Masala paste and shimmer for 5minute.Serve it with Rice.
