Sorputhi Macher Jhol

Ingredients
This is another form of Puti fish bigger in size. Buy 1/2 kg fish.
One Medium size Onoin and smalll piece of Ginger and 4-5 redchillies for Grinding.
Instead of all these 2 tablespoon of yellow mustard seed can be used for Masala.It varies from taste to taste.
100gm of Mustard Oil ( Best Mustard oil to use is Dhara Its available everywhere.)
One small bunch of corriander leaves for good aroma and garnishing.
Salt and Turmeric poeder for taste and colour.

 

Method:

  1. Clean the fish and marinated with salt and turmeric for frying or u can say saute( light fry).
  2. Heat the oil in the Kadai and shallow fry the fish in the heated mustard oil. keep it aside.
  3. Put some more oil and fry the masalas with pinch of turmeric powder and salt.
  4. but if you want to use the mustard paste never fry it so much saute it with salt and turmeric powder and put 1 cup of hot water .
  5. Put the fish in the boiled Masala (water in it).let it boil for few mts and sprinkle the Corriander leaves on it.
  6. Cover it with Lid and shimmer for sometime serve it with Rice.
