Shahi Gobi

Ingredients
1. Cauliflower ... 1 no
2. Onion (big) chopped ... 1 no
3. Ginger ... small piece
4. Garlic ... 5 flakes
5. Cinnamon ... small piece
6. Cloves ... 2 no.
7. Cardamom ... 2 nos
8. Brinji leaf ... 1 small
9. Red chilly powder ... 1 tsp
10. Garam masala powder ... 1 tsp
11. Curd ... 1/2 cup
12. Cream ... 2 tablespoonfuls
13. Cashew nut ... 6 nos
14. Tomatoe puree ... 1/2 cup
15. Cummins ... 1 tsp
16. Cummin seed powder ... 1 tsp
17. Green peas ... 1/2 cup
18. Salt ... to taste
19. Oil ... to fry.

 

Method:

  1. Cut cauliflower into big pieces and drop them in boiling water and take it off immediately.
  2. Heat oil in a kadai, add chopped onion, ginger, garlic, clove, cardamom, brinji leaf, cummin seeds, cashew nuts (broken into bits) and fry them, and allow it to cool down and then grind them in a mixie into a nice paste.
  3. Heat oil in the kadai, add cummin seeds and after it splatters, add the ground paste and the tomatoe puree and saute.
  4. Add chilly powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, the required salt, and curd after it starts boiling, add the cooked green peas and cauliflower bits and cook it.
  5. Garnish with cream and serve.
